The camelid fibers used to bind the ends of hair strands were color coded in combinations of hues, but always had to end in red. Camelid wool and hair. Some minor imperfections, overall exc. cond. Custom metal display base. Provenance: Private East Coast collection, acquired by the current collection in 1988. Ex. Gail Martin Gallery, New York.
