Artwork Description
Triumviratus (60 B.C. ROME) Referring to the consolidation of the first Triumvirates between Julius Caesar, Crasso and Pompeii in the year 60 B.C. and the beginning of Rome as an empire and the subsequent development of Europe and America. As a German citizen I grew up realizing the immense impact of the Roman culture in my country, Germany in many ways and acknowledging the advantages and disadvantages from a confrontation that started 2,000 years ago and still to date a great rivalry between Italy and Germany. The blending of the two cultures known as the German romanization and the Roman germanization brought on one side many battles and casualties, but also one of the seminal sources of invention, progress, culture, and even sports Elite since ancient times up until today. It is difficult to imagine Europe and the world without the Italian and German cultures nowadays do to the worldwide transcendency developed through struggle, battle and fierce competence. Cultural revolutions such as the Renaissance and the Industrial Revolution were developed highly by these 2 regions, nowadays countries. Would be enough to think in the musical exchanges between the Italian Renaissance school of music since the XIV century and later on the German school of music developed since the XVI century, both used masterfully by Mozart during his career. The same could be said about the amount of prime musical composers and genres, developed between the 2 countries. Rivalry and competence are the cradle of progress many times, as can be seen even in the football matches between these two nations, the strain, the pride, the honor of a country against the other. Nowadays, we see competence, confrontation and even armed conflicts through our world, let’s hope We will be wise enough to permute these ones for development, evolution and a higher level of awareness and consciousness as Italy ( Rome) and Germany did and have done for thousands of years.
